Requirements for Tents

According to the Alberta Building Code all tent and canopy materials must be made of
flame resistant material that conforms to CAN/ULC-S109. The CAN/ULC-S109M rating will be
listed directly on the tent/canopy. This rule applies to all tents and canopies regardless of
the activity being performed in the tent i.e. food vendor, merchandise, performance tent.

Flame Resistance Certificates, fabric material shall meet the requirements of CAN/ULC S-109M
"Standards for Flame Tests of Flame Resistance Fabrics and Films" for all tents used in
connection with public events. Flame Resistance Certificate must be provided upon request."

ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES (AHS) REQUIREMENTS

The 'Alberta Health Services' Vendor Application form' must be received by our office as soon as possible.
You are responsible to ensure you and your booth follow the AHS requirements. Alberta Health Services requires you to complete their vendor form. The form can be found on their website Plan an Event | Alberta Health Services and their direct line if you have questions is 403-943-2295. Email us a copy of your vendor form to production@expolatino.com. We will email your vendor form to AHS with our organizer form.
The City of Calgary requires all food vendors to read through the Festival and Event Food Vendor Requirements on this link Festival and Event Food Vendor Requirements.
